Bangkok 1983 International Stamp Exhibition (1st Series)

To publicize the Bangkok International Stamp Exhibition 1983, organized by the Communications Authority of Thailand and the Philatelists Association of Thailand, held at Suan Amphorn Auditorium, Bangkok during 4 -13 August, 1983 The Exhibition is to celebrate the centenary of the Thai Postal Service and the first issue of Thai postage stamps

 Buddhist temples on Rattanakosin: Wat Mahathat Yuwaraja Rangsarit

One of the few temples in Thailand that is bestowed with the highest possible royal title of Rajavora Maha Vihaan. Its name is usually abbreviated to Wat Mahathat. The temple is located on Rattanakosin Island in Bangkok, yet was built during the Ayutthaya Period. It accommodates the Buddhist university Maha Chulalongkorn Rajawitthayalai for the higher education of monks.
