Celebration of Asalha Puja Day. Asalha Puja or “Asanha Bucha” in Thai is a Theravada Buddhist festival which takes place on the full moon of the eighth lunar month, falling on various dates in the month of July every year. It is also called the “Dhamma” or “Dharma Day”. Stamp shows the huntsman and his son disturbing the Naga Prince Bhuridatta’s Meditation, as he is coiled around an abandoned anthill, capturing him and holding him in the basket shown on the side. |
