Celebration of  Asalha Puja Day.

Asalha Puja or “Asanha Bucha” in Thai is a Theravada Buddhist festival which takes place on the full moon of the eighth lunar month, falling on various dates in the month of July every year. It is also called the “Dhamma” or “Dharma Day”.

Stamp  shows Mahosadha representing the Kingdom of Mithila, talking to Kevatta, the Chief Emissary of the besieging army of several Kings, while discussing the terms of their detailed meeting outside the city fortifications shortly thereafter. Also seen on this stamp are images of the standards of the two armies and soldiers on both sides of the wall keeping guard.
