To commemorate the annual Asaanha Bucha Day, which is held on the day of the full moon in July commemorating the first sermon of the Buddha given to the five monks in Sarnath.

Buddha image in the pahng tawaai naet pose, i.e. standing while holding an alms bowl with both hands. This pose corresponds to Sunday in the Phra prajam wan geut system, while the red colour of the background corresponds to Sunday in the sih prajam wan system.
