Asalhapuja Day

To commemorate the annual Asalha Bucha Day, which is held on the day of the full moon in July commemorating the first sermon of the Buddha given to the five monks in Sarnath. It is regarded as the first day when the Rattanatrai or Triple Gem, i.e. the Buddha, his teachings or the Dhamma, and the order of monks or Sangha, was attained.
