Highly Revered Monk - Phra Ajaan Man

Phra Ajaan Man was born in Ubon Ratchathani on 20 January 1870 AD and passed away on 11 November 1949 in Sakon Nakhon. He preferred a solitary life in the forest and is credited with establishing the Thai Forest Tradition, in which practitioners dwell in so-called forest temples called wat pah.
