Five fleshes - Buddhist symbol | |
The internal offerings of the Tantra are often represented by what is called " the flower of senses". As offered in ritual worship, this is made of dough fashioned and coloured to resemble a skull cup which contains some strange and unpleasant objects: a humna heart, a tongue torn out of roots, a nose and a pair of ears that have been cut off, and a pair of eyes that have been gouged out. These five items made of dough representing the five fleshes. |
