To publicize Buddhist amulets and promote philatelic activities. Stamps featuring the five popular and well-known amulets with Buddha images, two of them seated in the pahng samahti or meditation pose, and three of them seated in the maravichaya pose: 1. Phra Nang Phaya from Wat Nang Phaya in Phitsanulok ; 2. Phra Kamphaeng Soom Ko from Thung Setthi , a field in Kamphaeng Phet; 3. Phra Phong Suphan from Wat Phra Sri Rattanamahathat in Suphanburi; 4. Phra Somdet Wat Rakhang Khositaraam from Wat Rakhang Khositaraam Woramahawihaan in Bangkok; 5. Phra Rod from Wat Mahawan in Lamphun.
