Thailand 2013 World Stamp Exhibition  - Royal Craftsmanship Arts
Commemorative stamps for the 2013 World Stamp Exhibition, held from 2-14 August 2013 at the Royal Paragon Hall of Siam Paragon in Bangkok, to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the launch of Thailand’s postal service and the issue of the country’s very first postage stamp.
Stamps featuring the Royal Craftsmanship Artifacts:  a scripture cabinet, decorated with gilded lacquer, which in Thai is called laai rod nahm; makara sculpture made of plaster; khon mask of Hanuman;  a water pot which in Thai is called nahm ton, decorated with mother-of-pearl;  Ayutthaya-style golden elephant statue;  moulded sculpture of a Garuda; wood-carved statue of a door guardian on a door panel from one of the three chedis of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet in Ayutthaya, now on display at the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum and  statue of Maha Chomphoo made with mirrored-glass inlay, which is known in Thai as waen fah.
