1. Mogami River: A first-class river with a total length of 229 km. During the Edo period, Sakata Minato at the mouth of the river was linked to the Sea of ​​Japan shipping and brought rice and red flowers, which are the main products of the inland area, to Kyoto and Osaka, supporting the lives and culture of the citizens of the prefecture for a long time.

2. Cherry: The fruit of the sweet cherry, which is a fruit tree of the genus Plum in the Rosaceae family. Currently, Yamagata Prefecture accounts for about 70% of the national production, and "Sato Nishiki", which is the most produced in Japan, is a variety cultivated by crossing in the prefecture.

3. Haguroyama Five-story Pagoda: Located on the approach to Mt. Haguro, in a row of cedar trees at the entrance to Ichinosaka, it is said to be the oldest tower in the Tohoku region and is said to have been built by Taira no Masakado.
The current tower is said to have been rebuilt about 600 years ago, and is a 29.0m-high Sanma five-story persimmon wooden structure that was designated as a national treasure in 1966 (Showa 41).
4. Sakura Kubo from Isazawa: It is one of the leading Edohigan cherry trees in Tohoku, which is said to be about 1200 years old.
It is a huge tree with a height of 13.85m, and it was also called Shitan-zakura because the branches spread to Shitan (about 4,000m 2 ) in the Edo period . It is lit up at night during the flowering period, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
5. Hayashiya Gagaku: It is a dance that is handed down to the Hayashi family, Yachi Hachimangu Shrine in Kahoku Town. He came to Yamadera, played dance at Nemoto Nakado, and lived in the later generations of Yachi. He is in charge of the dance of four companies such as Hie Yamadera, Sanno Jionji, and Hirashio Kumano / Yachi Hachiman. 6. Shinjo Festival: Approximately 250 years ago, the lord of the time, Masatoshi Tozawa, held a festival to give hope to the people who were overwhelmed by bad harvests. Japan's number one float parade, which is decorated with gorgeous decorations and competes for gorgeous gorgeousness, the old-fashioned mikoshi mikoshi parade, and the elegant Kago dance are performed. It is said to be one of the four major festivals in Tohoku, and is a midsummer night festival famous as a flower hat dance. It is held every night from 6 am to 9:30 pm, and a total of about 13,000 dancers (about 150 groups) parade through the main streets of the city over a three-day period. The dancers perform gracefully to the Hanagasa Ondo, holding uniform costumes for each group and a hat with safflower, which is a flower of Yamagata prefecture. Recently, the number of dances with elaborate tastes has increased, making the festival even more exciting.
