Wat Phra Sri Sanphet

The stamp commemorates Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the grand royal temple of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, located within Ayutthaya Historical Park. Built in the 15th century, it served as the royal chapel in the palace grounds and was the most important temple of the Ayutthaya kings. Its iconic three large chedis (stupas) housed the ashes of three Ayutthaya monarchs and remain a symbol of the city’s historical and architectural heritage.
