Mural at Buddhaisawan Chapel

The Buddhaisawan Chapel in Bangkok houses Thailand’s oldest murals (1795), depicting scenes from the Buddha’s life—such as preaching to King Jambupati and Indra retrieving the tooth relic. Painted in the refined late Ayutthaya–early Rattanakosin style, they are treasures of Thai Buddhist art.
