Sigiriya
This commemorative series celebrates Sigiriya, the 5th-century rock fortress built by King Kashyapa. Rising nearly 200 meters above the central plains, Sigiriya is famed for its palace ruins, landscaped gardens, mirror wall, and the world-renowned frescoes of celestial maidens (Sigiriya Damsels). Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982, it stands as a masterpiece of urban planning, art, and architecture, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World.
